Our unique approach to advising and consulting includes the utilization of the Organizational Life Cycle Framework and Strategic Entrepreneurship
Our mind is set on the questions, "How can we help & what are your pain points?" We never want to take attention away from the pressing needs of the business, its associates, and the customers. Instead, we are ambassadors who encourage bold leadership and empowerment that creates immediate value.
We can only progress when we choose to trust each other. This starts by immediately addressing the most pressing pain points for organizational leaders. Once we demonstrate competency and add value by alleviating particular pains, we can move toward a more formalized program if needed.
Our goal is to create intriguing conversations with key stakeholders, i.e., owners, partners, department leaders, employees, etc., that lead to initiatives and action that matters. To build trust, it is helpful to have a mutual understanding of tools, terms, and processes together as a team.
This is where we clearly define the Business Problem(s). We read and summarize contracts and understand them together. We work as closely as possible to where decisions that affect the customer are made. This helps us diagnose and "set the turf." This will include a deep dive into quantitative data (financials) leading to business valuation, business plan & model development, funding strategies, etc.
This is where specific deliverables (value-creating initiatives) are proposed, and we set the competitive criteria for winning. Rationality beats vision in this step as we gather resources for logical strategic intent. What can we reasonably do with what we have / what can we afford? When we create deliverables, we want to initiate and design competition. We anticipate competitors or foes internally and externally to fight back.
The deliverable implementation's intensity (volume & focus) is vital for an attack's launch. The control and leadership of these initiatives is the "distribution" phase of the project. The distribution of resources for the deliverables must be secured and comfortable for the project manager, customer, team, and operation. Intensity must be prioritized to establish the beachhead for the most excellent chance of success - trust the process. There will be time for feedback and pivots to increase revenues, profits, and customer satisfaction.
Anything worth doing is worth evaluating. We gather pre- and post-intervention data to celebrate success, learn from failures, and pivot for better results. Rational subjective feedback is critical from all stakeholders throughout the process. Increasing organizational citizenship behavior is done through the feedback and empowerment loop.
"It could provide a road map, identifying critical organizational transitions and pitfalls the organization should seek to avoid as it grows in size and complexity. An accurate life cycle model could provide a timetable for adding levels of management, formalizing organizational procedures and systems, and revising organization priorities. It could help management know when to "let go" of cherished past strategies or practices that will only hinder future growth." Hanks (1990, p. 1)
